4 Healthy Breakfast Ideas to Kickstart Your Day

I think breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that by making healthy choices in the morning, I can set a positive tone for the rest of my day. I wanted to share 4 delicious and nutritious breakfast ideas that I think you’ll enjoy. They are not only packed with essential nutrients, but they’re easy to prepare too!

Ingredients:

  • Greek yogurt (2% or Non-fat) – 220g
  • Peanut Butter (peanuts & salt only) – 1 Tbs
  • Rolled Oats (Plain) – 40g
  • Thorne Whey Protein (Chocolate) -1/4 Scoop
  • Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries) -or- other fruit – 100g
  • 1 Tbsp. Honey or Maple Syrup -or- 1/4 tsp. Stevia

Instructions:

  • In a glass or bowl, mix Greek yogurt, peanut butter, oats & protein powder.  Then add fresh berries and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.

  • Eggs – 2
  • Turkey Sausage – 2oz.

Instructions:

  • Toast the whole-grain bread to your desired level of crispness.
  • Pan Fry Eggs & Turkey Sausage
  • Mash the ripe avocado and spread it on the toast. Add sliced tomatoes and turkey sausage.
  • Place fried egg on top and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes for some extra zing.

  • 1 Handful Ice

Instructions:

  • Add Ingredients above to a blender and blend until desired consistency. Add almond milk as needed.

Ingredients:

  • Whole Wheat Tortilla – 2 servings
  • Eggs – 3 large
  • Turkey Sausage – 2oz
  • Fresh spinach (diced) – As Desired

  • Feta cheese – 1/8 cup
  • Hot Sauce
  • Salt, pepper & red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  • Cook Filling – sauté peppers, onions, turkey sausage and spinach until fully cooked, preferably slightly caramelized. Set Aside.
  • Whisk eggs with seasoning (salt, pepper, & red pepper flakes) and pour them into a heated non-stick skillet and fully cook.
  • Add 1/2 of eggs and 1/2 of filling to each taco. Sprinkle with Feta Cheese and Hot Sauce (optional)

Pro Tips:

  • Heat second pan and warm tortillas before assembly
  • Dice peppers and onions ahead of time to save time in the morning
